Dkny Donna

What is the difference between the lines as follows [Donna Karan] and [DKNY]?

I know that Donna Karan is a real designer, but I know if there is a difference between the two lines, as a being both casual and formal?!?! I hope someone will able to answer my question's been listening to me lately lol; D

The main collection, which includes ready-to-wear runway looks, is Donna Karan. DKNY refers to the line of low-end T-shirts, jeans and sportswear mass market. Both lines feature separates sportswear, and formal, but the label Donna Karan is haute couture. Also, Donna Karan does not draw the line DKNY. She oversees the design process for Donna Karan Collection. I do not think she did the design much these days, Donna Karan is the "designer" in name only.
