How do I install a rod if the walls have metal studs and stud finders do not find metal nails?

Trying to install a high rod about 5 inches from the ceiling but it seems that the studs are metal, can not find any wood studs to screw rod for closet. Can u break into metal studs.

Your sheetrock is about 1 / 2 or 5 / 8 inch. Then you want a screw that is 1 1 / 2 "longer than your screwed to the wall. The stud finder will find metal studs.
