Red Platform
I just got a new Syrian hamster a few weeks ago so how often should I play with him?
He is a Syrian and a cage 2 crittertrail. Each time he approaches the top "petting zone" it acts like it wants me to go out and usually I do. However, if the platform raised red and try to get him out, he tries to bite me! What should I do? HELP!
If he tries to bite you, try to teach him to climb into something you can easily remove it from the. As a container with maybe a little food, if it comes without food. Then slowly put your hand there, or just kinda switch in the container so that it is forced out but not too fast. Once it gets used to your scent after a while, he may just be taken right out of the cage. To help this, rub a piece of unscented lotion or not Kleenex or toilet paper and rub it on your skin to get some of your scent of man over there and put in his cage. ProBaby you want to where he sleeps. This should help him get used to you and know that you are not a danger to himself. You should take at least five to ten minutes every day or every other day. Hamsters need attention. Hope this helps.
