Velcro Strap
Laced or velcro strap sneakers for my 5 years?
It will be in kindergarten and I want to learn how to tie shoes. He brought both species, but seems not to want to learn how to tie shoes, virtually resistant ". I was like that when I was small, not really willing to learn until I was almost in the 2nd category. Is this normal behavior for a 5 yr old and if I just buy her a pair with velcro straps? I would like to make 2 pairs. A pair with Velcro to go to school and a pair of lace at practice when he gets home. The problem is when they are at school the teacher had to tie the laces all time and it takes time and children's time for them to lose valuable minutes lesson. Wait until he is fully confident of do his shoelaces before taking them to school, that way he will feel better and not be embarrassed. Yes, this behavior is normal. My two children wear Velcro now, not because they can not tie shoelaces, but because they are lazy and just want to get on and go. My older had more difficulty tying laces, because he is left handed and I could teach him the right to it (if it's a word lol) Be patient with him, he will learn at their own pace, when he sees his shoes freinds ........... cos he will want some just like it!
